Maximize Your Impact

Support the future of the Seneca Nation

By doing business with us, you will directly support the future of the Seneca Nation, a sovereign Native Nation located on a portion of its aboriginal lands in Western New York. While the Seneca Nation has been deeply impacted by systemic injustice, it has a strong legacy of resilience and Earth-healing relationship building. The Nation’s tribally owned businesses are the main sources of revenue to its government and its over 8,500 enrolled members. Profits from Seneca Environmental help the Nation support cultural programs and ensure the health, safety, infrastructure needs, and education of Seneca members.

Nya:weh means “I am thankful” and conveys a foundational religious concept at the core of the Seneca belief system. The Seventh Generation Principle of the Seneca Nation guides that all decisions be made to ensure a positive impact on the future seven generations. We thank you for joining us as we strive to honor this principle in every decision we make and action we take, including building positive business relationships that bring long-lasting value to both our customers and the Nation.

Seneca Language Preservation

The Seneca language is under threat. The Nation is keeping the language alive through an adult immersion program and a school for children.

Professional Development

We are training and employing Seneca members through a comprehensive internship program to grow the number of Senecas in our workforce.

High-Speed Internet

Seneca Energy, the Tribal Utility of the Seneca Nation, partnered with Seneca Holdings to bring high-speed internet the Nation.

Annual Powwow

This signature event takes place on the Nation’s Allegany Territory for the Seneca people, friends, and neighbors.

What Our Clients Are Saying About Us

Cargill

“Cargill partnered with Seneca Environmental to address our Scope 2 emissions as well as our supplier diversity targets. We were impressed by Seneca’s willingness to explore different solutions to address Cargill’s needs. Most companies bring us a solution that they want to implement, but Seneca started by hearing what we were looking for and finding a solution that worked for us and our many stakeholders. The Seneca team has been very patient and flexible working with our large company.”

— Peter Dahm, Sustainability Director, Operations and Natural Resources, Global Impact Team, Cargill

U.S. General Services Administration

“This is a very exciting moment where a policy provision that has been waiting to be implemented for almost 20 years is finally becoming a reality. As part of this Administration’s renewed focus on Native policies and programs, GSA was empowered to take on the complexities of implementing this provision. This is a historic milestone that we hope will inspire even more progress across the federal community, including with our partners such as DOE and DoD, to create further opportunities for tribally owned businesses.”

— Julie Ramey, General Services Administration Tribal Liaison in the Office of the Administrator

Natural Resources Research Institute

“I have had the pleasure of working with Seneca Environmental on tribal engagement efforts in Minnesota and can speak to their dedication, professionalism, and respect for the mission of supporting tribal ownership of renewable energy assets. Seneca Environmental has provided important support to our effort to engage Minnesota tribes in a project focused on modernizing the iron and steel industry in our region.”

— Rolf T. Weberg, Executive Director, Natural Resources Research Institute, University of Minnesota

Pueblo de San Ildefonso

“San Ildefonso Services, the economic development company of the Pueblo de San Ildefonso, has been working with Seneca Environmental to further our renewable energy project. We appreciate the good work of Seneca Environmental, which has been a part of our solar development team, working with us on grant writing, and project coordination to get our solar projects funded and to help identify and coordinate key decision-makers to advance this effort. In their dealings with Pueblo staff and leadership, they have been professional and shown respect for the history and culture of the Pueblo. They have our recommendation for working with other Native communities on renewable energy projects.”

— Peter Fant, Manager, San Ildefonso Services, LLC, Pueblo de San Ildefonso

Pine Point Resilience Hub

“The Seneca Environmental team is a dream to work with, bringing deep expertise in the solar industry and understanding of Tribal community needs and political processes. We are grateful that we could lean on their support at all stages throughout the development of a solar + storage resilience hub at a Native School.”

— Sandra Kwak, CEO, Founder, 10Power

Tribal Energy Sovereignty Workshop and White Paper

“Seneca Environmental brought an incredibly valuable perspective to the workshop and white paper as a tribally owned clean energy developer. They are demonstrating that tribes are not only positioned to benefit from the energy transition but have a leading role to play nationally and beyond in developing innovative climate solutions for all.”

— Nathan Williams, Rochester Institute of Technology, co-author of white paper “Convergent Clean Energy Research in Support of Sovereign and Prosperous Tribal Nations
