Tribal Business News: Seneca-owned environmental firm first to get preferred provider status
A national nonprofit that helps tribal nations develop energy projects has selected Seneca Environmental as its first preferred provider.
Rosana Francescato is a Communications Consultant for Seneca Solar. She was previously Communications Director for the Clean Coalition, a clean-energy nonprofit, Sunible, an online solar marketplace, and MyDomino, an energy savings concierge service. In over 14 years at Adobe Systems, Rosana held senior technical editing and project management positions. She has written extensively on clean energy for publications like CleanTechnica, PV Solar Report, pv magazine, and Energy Central. While on the steering committee of the Local Clean Energy Alliance, Rosana helped evaluate shared renewables legislation in California. She has served on the boards of several clean-energy nonprofits and was the top individual fundraiser for the GRID Alternatives Bay Area Solarthon for 10 years in a row.

Seneca Environmental sponsored and participated in the second annual Tribal Energy Equity Summit, which provides a culturally supportive and respectful forum for tribal leaders to engage with key decision-makers as well as energy development and service providers who are part of the Alliance Preferred Provider network. Seneca Environmental President Jeff Ellis spoke on a panel on tribal energy finance.

Seneca Environmental participated in the 2024 DOE Tribal Clean Energy Summit, which brought together Tribal Leaders, staff, and partners to build networks, exchange ideas, and explore clean energy solutions that support Tribal energy sovereignty. Seneca Environmental Tribal Business Development Director Erin Dayl presented on the panel “Novel Clean Energy Pathways to Economic Resilience.”
